Nick kicked off his career in radio, creating content for some of Australia’s biggest shows while also chasing his acting dreams. In 2016, he scored the role of Henri in the CW series Reign, catapulting him from Sydney to the bright lights of Hollywood
Since then, Nick has honed his talents as an actor, voiceover artist, and content creator. His signature “edutainment” style keeps people laughing while sparking meaningful conversations. To dive deeper, he founded Becomng, a podcast dedicated to relationships and self-improvement.
Nick has a knack for turning client briefs into hilarious skits faster than you can say “SO relatable”. His attention to detail is legendary—just ask Qantas, Uber, Amazon, Four Seasons, and Breitling to name a few.
So what’s the story?
With a nerd-level knack for music and audio production during high school, Nick naturally applied for a degree in… business. After a few years of realising that mistake, he jumped ship to study Audio Engineering.
After graduating, Nick landed a dream gig at Nova Brisbane, where he would write, perform and produce jingles. He got noticed by the wider network and was moved to Nova Melbourne. After a year down South, Nick scored the position of Audio Engineer Producer for Smallzy’s Surgery - the Nova Night Show and was shipped up to Sydney. In 2015 he was poached by rival network Triple M and joined the Sydney Triple M Breakfast Show with Gus, MG and Matty Johns.
Alongside his career in radio, Nick was auditioning for Film and TV roles. in 2016, Nick booked a role on Neighbours and then Reign; a US Network TV series filmed in Toronto. Nick handed in his resignation and moved to Toronto to begin the next chapter of his life.
Nick’s performance as Prince Henri gained him international attention and a social media following. From there, his career in Content Creation was born.
In 2023, Nick founded becomng; a Podcast, Blog and Community centred around holistic self-improvement. ‘becomng, with Nick Slater’ is now ranked #84 in Australian Podcasts for Relationships.
Today, Nick entertains an international audience of 44kk on his Instagram, TikTok, Podcast, Blog and YouTube.
